I Saw A Prayer
I saw the stream say a prayer,
I heard her gentle voice chant a prayer.
For all that she is, she was flowing in pride and in love
She was praying in gratitude to the man above.
Reindeer In The Sky
The stars wants to see you smile, the best you can do is sigh
Curiosity overshadows the loneliness as you see a reindeer in the sky.
The reindeer came down to you and told you he was lost
And he really needed to find Santa, no matter what the cost
He waits all year to see smiles on kids as gifts are given away
But he missed his group, as his baby walked out on him today
A Love in Me
I don't need to be messiah, and I sure don't need a man made religion
I'm just like you, I was born to love and respect all creation.
And I don't need to be told, what is God's name,
Coz no matter what you call him, to me his names all sound the same.
Tagore's Prayer
I was walking down the fields and came across a lonely crucifix,
So I fell on the stones before it on my knees and asked Christ to leave aside the ethics,
As blood poured out of my knees onto the pebbles near me,
I looked at the stone cross and closing my eyes I pleaded for my baby.
But Christ didn't hear me it seems, so I looked at him one more time,
Tears rolled down my eyes, blood flowed from his crucified wounds, one more time.
I walked away knowing that there was nothing he could do or say,
But I love my baby so much so I tired a different crucifix every hour every single day.
My Brother's Place
You moved out and set a place on your own,
I know things got rough since then, and we ended up having a different home.
But why are we still at war, brother lets throw down our weapons and embrace,
give our children the freedom to run and play at the brother's place.
Whose Side?
And in this world of ours - where more children are killed then they are born,
I have to ask you Lord - whose side are you on?
And when the innocent eyes of so many children, do not open to see a new dawn,
Answer me my Lord - Whose side are you on?
Senses
I wake up in the middle of the night, and I watch her lay next to me,
I can keep looking at her beautiful face; her childlike expressions bring a smile to me.
In the middle of the night, my sleep is going away, looking at her there beside me,
Not completely in my senses, and yet my soul thanks GOD for giving her to me.
